Course Introduction

1. Conversation Class

For those wishing to focus on strengthening speaking abilities, every Conversation Class unit contains functional sentences and common vocabulary terms in addition to many types of situations, making each class immediately adaptable to real life settings. Altogether, the course comprises 72 independent topics, all carefully chosen, in order to give students experience speaking in a wide range of daily life situations. Through a combination of Chinese culture and interactive teaching methods, this course will strengthen fluent communication and everyday knowledge, and help students to smoothly navigate everyday situations using Chinese. Within a six month period, students may complete eight classes at their leisure, making this course suitable for expatriates with a busy work schedule. Students may freely select the classes they prefer to improve their Chinese conversation ability.

2.  Listening Class:

For students wishing to develop advanced Chinese listening abilities.

Do you ever find that even though you are able to answer basic everyday questions, when you run into a string of questions you can’t pick out what is actually being asked? This class is chiefly focused on improving listening skills in terms of developing the ability to pick out the key points of what someone is saying. The wide range of topics covered not only allows students to feel comfortable in any Chinese speaking situation, but also teaches students how to confidently and appropriately respond based on the information heard. In class we use multimedia to train a student’s ability to understand information and filter through a speaker’s message to ascertain the key points. A student can complete eight classes anytime within 6 months to suit a busy schedule. After the class is over, you will surely feel your Chinese listening ability has improved.
